Jessica Gilbert is the senior director, product and experience for McClatchy. Her team designs all digital products and experiences for 29 news organizations, including the Miami Herald, Kansas City Star and Sacramento Bee. Her current projects include re-envisioning news apps, re-inventing story-level pages, redesigning newsletters and conceptualizing niche websites like miami.com. Before McClatchy, Gilbert oversaw brand identity for Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism and worked as a features art director for the Tampa Bay Times. She also consulted for Chicago Tribune and several startup websites. Gilbert is a 2016 member of the ONA/Poynter Digital Women's Academy.
